Trace Elements, Spectroscopy and Speciation Group

Our research group has its origins around 1990. It has trained 38 PhDs and currently has 6 permanent members, 2 contracted members, 8 PhD students in training and an average of 5-10 students carrying out their Final Degree Project or Master’s Thesis.

grupo

The main objective of the group is basic research in relation to the development of new analytical methods for the study of trace elements and their species in all types of samples, as well as for the study of various types of organic compounds of interest in the food, environmental and clinical fields. In these same fields, several lines of applied research are also developed, and advisory studies are carried out for other research groups or centres, as well as for different companies.
